‘Au Fil des Fleurs’ is a typical name for a French flower shop. Literally it means ‘next to the flowers’. Pink, pearl and violet are perfect eyeshadow colors that represent spring flowers blossom.
According to the Chanel website, Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Palette 356 Au Fil des Fleurs represent floral shades that illuminate the eyes. There are four colors:
– A sweet pearly pink (top left);
– A highlighter with purple and pink shimmers (top right);
– A sweet, satiny rosewood (bottom left). It looks more like dark Sakura pink to me;
– An aubergine with mauve reflections (bottom right).
All four colors contain shimmer. Despite sheer swatches, the product is highly pigmented. The texture is very smooth and easy to apply.
For my first look, I used white pearl highlighter on my lids, light pink in crease and dark violet as eyeliner. When applied, Chanel Eyeshadows 356 Au Fil des Fleurs look and feel like cream eyeshadows.
For my lips, I used Chanel Rouge Allure Ink 224 Harmonie.
For my second look, I used light pink on my lids, white pearl highlighter under eyebrows and dark violet as eyeliner.
For my lips, I used Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge 325 Ultra Tender.
For my third look, I added dark Sakura pink on my lids on top light pink. At first, this dark pink color looked too intense for me, but it turned to be quite interesting, even chic!
My verdict is: I have many pink and violet eyeshadows. Chanel Eyeshadows 356 Au Fil des Fleurs is something different because it looks like cream eyeshadows. A few hours later, the colors melt and fade out giving me a very natural radiant look. This product is definitely worth trying!
