Since when not wearing fake eyelashes is considered a low-key makeup?! Who said that brown mascara is good only for natural no-makeup look?! I’m going to prove you that dramatic evening makeup is possible without fake eyelashes and with help of brown mascara!
Yves Saint Laurent Vinyl Couture Mascara #4 ‘I’m The Illusion’ is a brown with very fine brown-gold shimmer mascara. Don’t worry, you wouldn’t feel the shimmer. The texture is fluid enough to glide through the eyelashes. I would recommend using the eyelashes curler prior to mascara application.
Brown eyeshadows go better with brown mascara, no matter how dark they are. The black mascara creates completely different effect: it can totally remove the warm-light effect of brown eyeshadows.
For Evening Look #1, I used shimmery silver-brown eyeshadow from Chanel Les Beiges Natural Eyeshadow Collection Les Indispensables. For eyeliner, I used the dark-brown shade from Chanel La Palette Caractere Lipstick Collection. For mascara, I used Yves Saint Laurent Vinyl Couture Mascara #4 – I’m The Illusion. For lipstick, I used the red shade from Chanel La Palette Caractere Lipstick Collection.
For Evening Look #2, I used red-brown eyeshadow and light brown eyeshadow (on top of red-brown) from Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quad 328 Blurry Mauve. For mascara, I used Yves Saint Laurent Vinyl Couture Mascara #4 – I’m The Illusion. For lipstick, I used Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour Lipstick 186 Sensible.
Do I need fake eyelashes or black mascara here? Or maybe lip fillers? Please let me know in the comments.
