Green mascara is not for everyone, but Yves Saint Laurent Vinyl Couture Mascara #3 ‘I’m The Excitement’ makes it easier to get into green shades. Explore 5 reasons why you should try green mascara.
First, green mascara goes well with your favorite green eyeshadow. How many times you wanted to use a green eyeshadow, but you didn’t dare? Green mascara is a good excuse to do so! For this look, I used green eyeshadow from Chanel Les 9 Ombres Eyeshadow Palette Edition #1 – Affresco.
What I like about Yves Saint Laurent Vinyl Couture Mascara #3 ‘I’m The Excitement’ is original dark green color! The mascara comes in a sleek square packaging which makes it easier to control the application. Yves Saint Laurent mascaras have the best mascaras reputation on the luxury makeup market. Let’s see if it’s true!
Yves Saint Laurent Vinyl Couture Mascara formula is non-sticky, fluid enough to glide through the lashes. I always curl my eyelashes with Shiseido eyelashes curler prior to mascara application: once by the roots and once in the middle. It makes the whole application process so much easier! Then I open mascara and mix it with applicator couple times back and forth. Then I take it out and remove some amount of product by rubbing the applicator against the bottleneck. It sounds like a lot of work, but it helps mascara to glide through and to create really long lashes look!
The second reason to wear green mascara: it gives you a fresh look. Somehow the green color is neutralizing the redness around eyes when you are tired. Especially when combined with green eyeshadow and green eyeliner. On some skin tones, the green is going to pop out, which is great! On others, it’s going to look more subtle, which is great too, because it’s gonna look natural. So it’s a win-win situation!
Third reason: green mascara makes your eyes look greener. If you have light eyes (mine are grey), they are going to reflect the eyeshadow/eyeliner/mascara color. Look at the picture: my grey eyes look almost green! What color are your eyes? How does a green mascara change your eye color? Let me know in the comments, please.
Fourth reason: you don’t know what to do with your orange or coral lipstick. Green mascara is going to match orange/coral lipstick, no matter how bright or weird the lipstick shade is! How many orange lipsticks are hiding in your makeup bag that you never really use? Now you have a good excuse! For this look, I used Chanel Rouge Coco Flash Lipstick 86 Furtive.
All the redheads, listen up! You have to try green mascara at least once in your life. It looks fabulous with red hair! As you have probably already noticed, green clothes do well with red hair. Hence the green mascara is going to match your favorite green sweater! But you don’t have to be a redhead to enjoy matching green eyeshadows/eyeliners /mascara with your favorite piece of clothing.
Finally, the green mascara is too original to ignore. If you like to explore new looks, try a green mascara along with green eyeshadows and eyeliners. Please let me know if it worked for you!
